The Janet Jackson Megamix (40 Janet tracks in 3 1/2 min) by hausofglitch

The first cd I ever bought was “Control.” The first 12’ single I ever bought was “Escapade.” The first concert I ever went to was the Rhythm Nation Tour. Janet has been woven into the artist fibers I weave with. I spent years studying the Flyte Tyme production style. When I was in junior high, I would take my Janet records and do a stop-motion recording technique to create remixes onto cassette tapes. This was the experience that gave birth to my particular style of glitch music. Because of this, I have been wanting to make a Janet Megamix for quite some time. I started one, scrapped it and started over again. This megamix was important to me because these are the very samples I started remixing 20 years ago. And also because I wanted to honor Jan.

There are samples from 40 different tracks in this remix. All of them are from Janet’s songs; there are no added beats or sounds other than her music. The songs used were: Control, The Knowledge, Go On Miss Janet, Miss You Much, Nasty, Black Cat, Velvet Rope, Let’s Dance, hey Baby, All For You, Escapade, If, The Pleasure Principle, All Nite (Don’t Stop), Alright, Runaway, Call On Me, Go Deep, Feedback, Love Will Never Do (Without You), Just A Little While, You Can Be Mine, Someone To Call My Lover, Son of a Gun, Doesn’t Really Matter, Got Til It’s Gone, What Have You Done For Me Lately, Sexhibition, Rhythm Nation, Trust A Try, Scream, Show Me, Let’s Wait Awhile, Again, When I Think Of You, Come Back To Me, I Get Lonely, Everytime, That’s The Way Love Goes, and Any Time, Any Place.

I’m not the biggest fan of megamixes in general, but this is awesome.

Agreed aside from the megamixes part, I love them provided they’re very well stitched together. This is one of that’s well stitched together.
